You stood be me
In my time of need
You showed me things
I need to see.
You opened my eyes
And helped me to see
The right way of the world
And how things should be.
Your wisdom and knowledge
Has helped me through
To get rid of shyness
To realize things I never knew.
You took me in
And held me tight
Under your wing
You showed me the light.
Even with all my faults I’ve told
You never left my side
You treated me the same, if not better
And told me there’s no reason to hide.
I can’t thank you enough
Words can never tell
The feelings in my heart
You brought me out of hell.
I’m not completely there yet
I have a long way to go
I know I can always count on you
To lift me up when I’m feeling low.
You’re like the bigger sister
That I never had
I really look up to you
And try to make you glad.
